"5G will change every career you're thinking about ... and a lot more besides"
Developed in collaboration with Nottinghamshire schools and colleges, the UK's first 5G Careers programme aims to raise the awareness and careers horizons of entrants to the world of work.
Although the programme does touch on the opportunities for technical and telecoms careers, its primary focus is on the opportunities 5G brings to all sectors as an enabler to technologies such as:
- Virtual / Augmented / Extended Reality (VR / AR / XR / MR)
- Robotics
- Automonous Vehicles (SAVs / CAVs)
- Artificial Intellligence (AI)
- Internet of Things (IoT / Wearables)
- Haptics (Touch Sensitive)
With video case studies, resource links and team challenge projects, all tailored to students' course interests; the programme is currently being rolled out across the sixth forms and FE colleges of Nottinghamshire - supporting over 1000 students so far.
